My "Story" and what is motivating me to be BodyProud:
I was moderately active until I was involved in a car accident in 2004.I had a fractured femur, ruptured spleen and pancreas.I was immobile for two months working with a physiotherapist. After 8 months I was walking fine. From then onwards it has been a roller coaster right weight flactuating up and down until I layed my eyes on the Muscle Evolution magazine, from the Muscle Evolution I discovered the Fitness magazine. So now I'm currently using the full body exercises which I made copies and laminated and put them up in my home gym.I'm starting to see muscles I never thought I had and I'm loving every minute I spend exercising.I'm following a high protein diet.I will be going for my body fat assessment soon yey!!!:-)
I have experience as a:
People I'd Most Like to Interact With, Learn From and/or Inspire
If I tune into my heart's desires, here is what I feel is my purpose and life dreams
I'm a 33 year old married mother of two.
I weigh 62 Kg's.
Height is 156 cm
Don't really know my body fat % but my scale says its 32%
Something deep about me or my beliefs that I believe others should hear:
HIV product specialist
Self loving actions I take and good4me decisions I make
For the life and the body that I have.I almost lost it but I was given a second chance to be still in this body so I have vowed to look after it the best way I know how.
I am also grateful for all the fitness women that inspire us everyday and have paved a way to show those of us behind them that this fitness thing is doable through hard work and commitment.I've had enough of the lies of having a dream body in 30 days! Thanks Nicole for always giving us real facts.
I am ready to take a giant leap forward and dare myself to step out of my comfort zone. Here is what I am doing and what it means to me.
Before I put anything into my mouth I first ask if it's going to support my goals if not,put it away and sing this mantra to myself..."nothing tastes as good as lean feels and looks. Most of the times it works, but if I still feel like having that particular food I'l have it and make sure I do 20 to 30 min cardio..
Here are gifts I am willing -- as of Now -- to give myself to pamper my body, nourish my cells, and pleasure my mind.
Nothing comes easy, but with hard work, determination and commitment anybody can look and feel fabulous any age.Just get started and keep on pushing.
Reflecting on who or what makes me feel grateful, I am grateful for
Nicole Seymour is one lady has really inspired me not to be scared of weights. She has shown that a woman can have muscles and still look feminine.
Why I choose to experience the rest of my life bodyproud
Just surfing the net looking for more training tips from Nicole Seymour as sometimes I get impatient waiting for the next issue of the Fitness Magazine to hit the shelves. Then I bumped into this site.
My Online Presence and Personal Plug:
Today was my leg day.I did 3 sets of barbell squats 20 reps, calf raises, leg raises, dead lifts, and walking lunges. After that 10 min cardio on a stationary bike.I wish I could have done more cardio but my legs were shaking...
I offer something of value for people who choose to be bodyproud. Here's what it is:
Nutrition and gaining muscle without gaining fat.I find that when I focus on building muscle I also gain fat, and it's frustrating..
